Everything at RunQuarters has a story. We’ll host those stories here about places to run, eat, and information about the property. We’ll start with The Rivarly Room. Every vacation property seems to have a room with two double beds and this is that room. We’ll celebrate the best track and field rivalries in this room with an ever-changing set of pictures that notes those!

We’re kicking it off with:

  • The 1500 meter final at the 2016 Olympic Trials: Jenny Simpson vs. Shannon Rowbury (and Brenda Martinez vs. Amanda Eccleston for the third spot)
  • Tarmohgeddon: The dead heat for third in the 100 meter final at the 2012 Olympic Trials between Allyson Felix and Jeneba Tarmoh
  • The 1500 meter final at the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championships with North Carolina’s own Craig Engels holding off 2016 Olympic Champion, Matthew Centrowitz.
  • The 2021 Battle for Sub 5:00 between Malcolm Gladwell and Chris Chavez. How could we forget?
